Plantation Requirements for Arbequina Olives

Planting the Arbequina with the traditional ways may not lead you to the high yield and fast growth, so Agrixum’s Olive Experts has set some requirements that are needed by the Arbequina Olive Plants. By following those instructions your plants would grow fast as compare to plant, planted with traditional ways. 

Required Soil:

Light (sandy) loamy and heavy (clay) soils are acceptable. Olives grow well in well drained soils so it performs well in even Nutrient poor, rocky soils. 

Required Spacing:

Arbequina Olive grows well in both high density and normal distancing. So it can be planted 200 to 350 plants per acre. It can be planted at super high density 4x12 feet OR 5x13 feet.

Required Watering: 

Arbequina Olive is drought and weather resistant plant. In the beginning seasons it requires more frequent watering to develop plant stature, roots and canopy but once properly established reduce the watering. 

Precautions:

Although it is highly adaptable plant and builds resistance to drought, whether and diseases but small plants require shelter from winter.
